Keeping kids fed over the summer costs a pretty penny, but Bossier Schools is coming to the rescue for the third year with FREE, nutritious meal boxes – and there are no income restrictions.

Every Tuesday, from May 26-June 23 and July 7-28, any child age 18 and under is eligible for nutritious meal boxes at four drive-through pickup sites: Benton Middle, W.T. Lewis Elementary, Haughton Middle and Parkway High.

  • Each box includes 7 shelf stable breakfasts & lunches that are kid-friendly

  • This USDA Summer Food Service Program is completely FREE

  • Curbside pickups are from 7-11 a.m. every Tuesday, with the exception of June 30

Parents or guardians will need to complete this registration form for each child. They will only need to fill out one form for the entire summer. Once registration is complete, parents or students can begin picking up meal boxes every Tuesday, May 26-June 23 and July 7-28.

This program is being offered at no cost to families by the USDA Summer Food Service Program and administered by Bossier Schools Child Nutrition department.

“Last summer, more than 470,000 meals were distributed by Bossier Schools during the summer meal box program, accentuating the need in our community,” said Bossier Schools Superintendent Jason Rowland. “We recognize that feeding children during the summer months is a challenge for families, especially now with rising food costs, and we are proud to be able to help off-set expenses by offering children healthy meals to keep them fueled throughout the summer.”
